Jennifer McClendon works as a mental health counseling consultant and is the owner of a small private counseling practice. She is the Executive Director of , a non-profit organization that focuses on providing professional education and training on best practices for assisting diverse populations in improving their mental health and wellness. It provides trauma-informed support groups and assistance with accessing and understanding counseling and other supportive services in the state New Jersey. Its products and services are specifically designed for formerly incarcerate individuals. Jennifer is also the webinar coordinator for the where she interviews presenters and coordinates and hosts webinars for counseling professionals to shape and inform advocacy efforts and legislative reform on a national level. Jennifer’s calling for the last 16 years has been to advocate for and counsel formerly incarcerated individuals. She is guided by her personal experiences with the criminal justice system, her compassion for humanity, and her family’s history of service.
